Terms of Service
Last updated 24 August 2026
These are the terms you agree to when you order through ZEST. They are written plainly so you can actually read them before you order.
What ZEST is
ZEST is a delivery service around the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ikole campus. You order from restaurants, local kitchens and food sellers nearby, and we arrange for your order to reach you.
ZEST does not cook. Food is prepared by the seller you chose, and they are responsible for what they make, how it is handled and what they say it contains.
Your account
You need an account to order. Sign in with your email address, where we send a six-digit code, or with Google. There is no password.
Keep access to your email secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has reached your account.
Give us a real phone number. The rider calls it to find you, and a wrong number is the most common reason an order fails to arrive.
Your delivery address
You write your address yourself, in your own words, with a landmark and directions. That is deliberate: it is how people around Ikole actually describe where they live, and it is what the rider can follow.
Because we rely on what you write, the accuracy of it is your responsibility. If an order cannot be delivered because the address or directions were wrong, or because you could not be reached on the number you gave, we cannot refund it.
Orders and payment
Prices are set by sellers and shown in Naira. The delivery fee is shown before you pay.
You pay up front through Paystack. Your order is only sent to the seller once Paystack confirms payment, so nothing is prepared until it has gone through.
An order is a request until the seller accepts it. If a seller cannot fulfil it, or is closed, the order is cancelled and you are refunded in full.
Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel free of charge before the seller starts preparing your order.
Once preparation has begun the food cannot be resold, so cancellations are not refundable.
If your order never arrives, arrives substantially wrong, or the seller cancels, you get a full refund.
Refunds return to the account you paid from through Paystack, and usually take a few working days.
For anything else, write to aransiolaolayinka6@gmail.com with your order number and we will look at it case by case.
Delivery
Delivery times shown in the app are estimates, not guarantees. Traffic, weather, how busy a kitchen is and how easy your address is to find all affect them.
We deliver within the FUOYE Ikole coverage area. If your address falls outside it, the app will say so before you pay.
Someone needs to be reachable to receive the order. If a rider cannot reach you after arriving, they may leave with the order.
Using ZEST fairly
We may suspend or close an account that does any of these.
Do not place orders you do not intend to receive.
Do not abuse, threaten or harass riders, sellers or our staff.
Do not attempt to break, probe or interfere with the service.
Do not use somebody else’s payment details.
Where our responsibility ends
We take responsibility for the delivery service we provide. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, preparation or accuracy of the food itself, which is the seller’s.
If you have an allergy or dietary requirement, check with the seller directly. Menu information is supplied by them and we cannot verify it.
Where we are liable for something that goes wrong with an order, that liability is limited to the value of the order.
Sellers and riders
Sellers and riders are independent, not employees of ZEST. Partners who join ZEST agree to separate terms covering their obligations.
Changes and closure
ZEST is new and still changing. We may add features, remove them or adjust fees, and we will update the date on this page when these terms change.
We may suspend or stop the service. If we do, any order already paid for and not delivered is refunded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If something goes wrong, contact us first at aransiolaolayinka6@gmail.com — nearly everything is resolved that way.
